August 7: Uranus moves retrograde at 2 degrees of Taurus as it squares slow-moving Mars; plan a technology-free day to avoid frustration directed at your computer/smartphone/printer. In fact, make that a techno-limited week if you can! Messages can reach you the old-fashioned way.

Venus also moves into Libra on this day. While Venus is at her diplomatic best here, she squares Saturn August 7-13 so you could use this period to overcome obstacles surrounding commitments. After August 14, there’s a less serious attitude but more intensity as Pluto joins the party

August 11: New Moon solar eclipse at 18 degrees of Leo. As always, look to your chart and see which house the eclipse will take place in and take special note if you have a planet or angle between 17 and 19 degrees of Leo there. When this special new moon contacts a planet in your chart, its effects can be strong; there are usually endings and beginnings in the area of life where it falls. For example, if you have Leo rising, you might undergo a physical image overhaul (such as a new diet) after serious assessment of your life. The decisions made during this week can have implications for about six months or until the next eclipse

August 14: Mars dips back into Capricorn as it continues its retrograde journey. For the week of August 14 refer back to events in your life from May 14-16

August 19: Mercury moves direct at 11 degrees of Leo; watch out for echoes of the January 31 total lunar eclipse theme from your own life – any parallels between now and then?

August 24: Sun moves into Virgo – Happy Birthday, Virgo!

August 26: Full Moon at 3 degrees of Pisces. Usually a sensitive time – make time for some quiet space

August 28-31: You could get a lot done on these days so don’t procrastinate – plan energetic activities and go for it!
