Festive Season 2019: Letter from Catherine

Jupiter and Saturn, Feast and Famine

Dear Friends,

What is your own level of comfort when it comes to giving and receiving, to feasting and famine?

Traditionally we gauge this comfort level in astrology by looking at the strength of Jupiter versus the strength of Saturn in a chart.

Those with a strong Jupiter in their charts tend to be great givers, and love feasting and celebrations of all types. They are heard to proclaim phrases such as, “The more the merrier!” and “Bring it on!”. Budgeting and down-sizing is often foreign to their nature. They lean toward seeking out new experiences to satisfy their senses and their wanderlust.

Those with a strong Saturn in their charts tend to be great conservationists, enjoying the simpler things in life. They gain genuine satisfaction from limiting their sensory experiences and sticking to routine. They are known to pronounce phrases such as, “Let’s not get carried away!” and “What on earth do you need that for?!” (otherwise heard as, “You bought what?”).

Where is Jupiter in your natal chart and which sign is it in? Where is Saturn? Which force is stronger and how does this play itself out in your daily life?

Friends, there is no right or wrong, all or nothing, here. There are only tendencies, which open the gate for deeper self-exploration.

Observe these two energies rise and fall as the festive season gets underway. Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!

May the Sun shine upon you,
Catherine
