From Gemini to Cancer, May 2026: Find your Frequency!

Greetings Dear Astrology Lovers,

June opens in Gemini season, traditionally a time of transition and flexibility. Take a moment to check in with yourself at this time. Where are you feeling on the scale of lightness? If there are any shadows falling around you now, cast them off as June gets under way! We’ve come this far — and in order to embrace June in all its glory, something inside us needs to let go.

This prepares you to begin a new cycle when the Sun shifts into Cancer at the solstice on June 21. We are approaching that solstice now, where light triumphs over cold and darkness. Rituals give meaning to our lives and this month, as the solstice approaches, we can honor an important waypoint on the Sun’s annual journey.

Whatever ritual you choose to perform, and whatever side of the world you are on, honor the Sun at this time. Our Sun shines both literally on our world and also within each of us as our radiant self. You are invited to create a June ritual of welcoming in the light. Perhaps by planting something bright and beautiful on your windowsill or in your garden, or creating a light-catching mobile to dance in the breeze, or simply by lighting a candle to give thanks.

If you are in the Southern Hemisphere, you may give thanks for the quiet rest period that is to come, and welcome in time for reflection and forgiveness.

MINDFUL JUNE PLANNER

June 1–2: The month begins on a Monday after a Full Moon weekend — expect to feel the energy unwind after so much intensity. Plan to take care of routine tasks over the next couple of days. Be extra mindful of how you receive another person’s words: communication planet Mercury moves from Gemini into emotion-orientated Cancer on the 1st. This facilitates sensitive conversations as well as the potential to plan for one’s future security with loved ones.

June 3–9: A creative period where your best mode of operation is to “go with the flow”.  Avoid heavy scheduling and endurance projects if possible. Neptune bestows inspiration on the 3rd and 4th (while square dancing with Mercury) and the 9th (when cheek to cheek with the Moon).  A feel-good coming together between our “lucky in love and money” planet, Venus, and our “jovial sugar daddy” planet Jupiter, consummates on the 9th. This could be especially fortuitous for those of you born between July 15 to 18 or who have a 24 to 26 degree Cancerian Ascendant. All of us, however, could consciously welcome this energy of abundance and fertility into our lives.

June 12–13: The 12th of June is a day for completing projects. Make this a day of completion and leave no unfinished business either with loved ones or the stock market. Venus is at the last degree of Cancer and a Moon-Mars conjunction in Taurus colors the day. The following day, the 13th, is dark Moon — reflect and process, tie up loose ends, even while Venus sambas into Leo.

June 14–16: New Moon at 24° Gemini at 22h53 Eastern time on the 14th. There is a wonderful combination of passionate and dispassionate energies at this New Moon which could facilitate a fruitful heart-to-heart with a loved one.  By the 16th we are very much back in the emotional sphere with the Moon, Mercury and Jupiter all in the water sign of Cancer. (In Astrology, the water element reflects our feelings.) Our escape from excess emotion, which is unbalancing to the system, may be to choose to express our true individuality at this time, not the automated version. Stand in your power and speak from your Truth. Venus in heart-centered Leo looking at Uranus the Awakener reflects this possibility. This is a great time to break the routine.

June 21–23: The Sun moves into 0° Cancer on June 21st as we celebrate the Solstice (04h24 Eastern) with our preferred ritual. About 12 hours later (18h00 Eastern), the first quarter Moon, at 0° Libra, completes the picture.  The energetic vision is of a great event happening in the solar-earth realms. As above, so below: be mindful of what you are bringing forward in your life at this time. Your reality will assemble around this vibration. Strive for balance and harmony.

June 27–30: Mars, our action planet, leaves Taurus on the 28th and moves into Gemini. We are invited to take a day of adjustment on the 27th and the 28th. This allows us to recalibrate for the next cycle. Between June 28th and July 4th, there will be great possibilities for physical and psychological breakthroughs as Mars is intensified by contact with Uranus. As always, take care and don’t dash about.

The month ends with a potent Full Moon on June 29th at 8° Capricorn at 19h56 Eastern time. Expect many things to come to fruition now — and all success to those who are graduating! The Capricorn Full Moon is always a time to reflect on one’s achievements — no matter how insignificant they may sometimes feel. This is also a good period to put some loving energy into your home, especially if it has been neglected due to work.

Wishing you a relaxing and light-filled June!

May the Sun shine upon you,
Catherine

Poem by Kabir:

I have been thinking of the difference
between water and the waves on it. Rising,
water’s still water, falling back,
it is water, will you give me a hint
how to tell them apart?

Because someone has made up the word
“wave”, do I have to distinguish it
from water?

There is a secret one inside us;
the planets in all the galaxies
pass through his hands like beads.

That is a string of beads one should look at with
luminous eyes.
