1st – 4th: Take a couple of days of adjustment and relaxation as the year gets under way – Mercury, our communication and commuting planet, is switching signs from Sagittarius to Capricorn from the 1st to the 2nd. Take it slow!

We are building towards the Full Moon at 13° Cancer on the 3rd. The Full Moon hooks up with generous Jupiter, yet is opposed by four planets in reserved Capricorn. Be prepared to compromise. With Chiron moving direct (after being retrograde since July 2025), make extra efforts to remain emotionally centered during this highly charged weekend.

5th – 17th: the host of planets traveling through the sign of Capricorn continue to oppose expansive Jupiter in Cancer. This invites us to continuously adjust our energy levels as we evaluate what is possible for us now. Are we aiming too high with our ambitions? Are we under-performing due to security needs? Use these two weeks in January to figure out your unique pace for 2026.

17th – 23rd: First Venus, then the Sun, followed by Mercury, then Mars, leave earthy Capricorn for airy Aquarius. The tone of the month shifts remarkably as these planets gather around Pluto.

In the middle of this transformation, the New Moon on the 18th offers up the potential for genuine innovation (with the luminaries, Mercury and Mars all trine Uranus the Awakener). By the 23rd, we will have had the chance to put these ideas to the test!

26th: Need an excuse to take some time off this Monday? Neptune moving into Aries today could be it! Take a moment or an hour to vision quest, dream or spend the time in meditation. What you put out to the universe now will be noticed.

Use the last week in January to clear the decks and your calendar. In mid-February we have an eclipse so we want to have all unfinished business behind us. A clean slate – and an uncluttered home – pave the way for fresh energies to invigorate our lives.
