MINDFUL MAY PLANNER AND ALL 12 SIGNS

In Brief:

May is magical as we have not one but two full moons this month! So if there is something “impossible” that you dream of achieving, or something rare that you wish to experience, this month could see us moving in a fresh direction, guided by a silver light.

The very first day of the month is the Scorpio Full Moon at 11° of this penetrating sign. Called the Planting or Flower Moon, there is much that could potentially be blossoming in our lives now! For much of April, it felt as if things were simply not moving forward. Life may have felt slow, delayed, or heavy. After the move of Uranus into Gemini on April 25, the energy began to shift, and something began to release and let go.

We are asked to pay attention to our bodies over this Full Moon period and on into next week: What do our bodies need to come more into balance? What tensions are we able to release now? What type of physical activity feels appropriate?

The New Moon on May 16 at 25° Taurus evokes new beginnings and an excuse for a weekend picnic! Pack a hamper and head for the nearest grassy meadow, beach, or park. When the Sun and Moon meet in this fixed earth sign once a year, it is an auspicious time to evoke increased stability into our lives. If something has been “up and down” for you, such as exercise or regular meals, now is a good time to set a new daily routine. Our bodies and health are clearly in focus this month. Are we getting enough sleep? Are we eating a balanced diet?

The week following the New Moon is the time to focus on rest, routine, and renewal. With Mercury coming home into Gemini the day after the New Moon, our nervous system may need extra care

We will be helped to stay earthed by action planet Mars moving into Taurus on May 19. Too busy to slow down? Try moving your bedtime 30 minutes earlier and feel the difference. When the Sun moves into Gemini on May 20 and joins Uranus and Mercury, it is easy to become overstimulated. Better quality sleep can help to mitigate this.

The month ends with a second Full Moon in buoyant Sagittarius (9°). The Moon is electrified by Uranus, the Awakener, so a good weekend for a celebratory feast, especially with Jupiter still traveling through comfort-loving Cancer, and Venus here too!

Wishing you a new inspirations this month!

May the Sun shine upon you,
Catherine

Poem by Kabir:

I laugh when I hear that the fish in the water is thirsty.

You don’t grasp the fact that what is most alive of all is inside your own house;

And so you walk from one holy city to the next with a confused look!

Kabir will tell you the truth: go wherever you like, from Calcutta to Tibet;
if you can’t find where your soul is hidden,
for you the world will never be real!
