Everything feels a little dreamy or foggy since February 19. Do you feel as if you’re living moment to moment, or as if it’s hard to find clarity on big decisions? Planetary symbols for March suggest it’s a good time to hold off on big decisions and to use this month instead to create, envision and rejuvenate.

Trying to push forward too determinedly now will likely have the opposite result. So sit back, relax and enjoy the March Astro-Planner, as well as the Sun, Moon and Rising Signs for the month.

Your Sun, Moon and Rising Signs for the month

Active from February 19, 2019

Aries, money is the over-riding theme for you this month. It looks like your hard-earned cash is going to pay for travel and learning opportunities. By nature you’re inclined to avoid over-deliberation when it comes to financial decisions (read: hasty) so your bank balance is most likely showing the strain. Slow down the pace and reflect on both your resources and your values. What do you really need right now?

Taurus, the pace slacks off a bit during the first week of March for you to catch up on community, sisterhood, and all that jazz. By the 7th you’re back on your roller-coaster ride with unexpected perspectives coming in thick and fast. Remember how you were feeling last May and October? This cycle is back – to shake you out of your complacency and encourage you to make the decisions you know you must. Caught between two difficult choices? Honor your nature and follow the most practical route for now

Gemini, it’s all about roots, dad, and home this month, and you may find yourself feeling reflective, idealistic and confused. Do you really want a permanent commitment and a settled home? Does your partner share your values enough to settle down? If you’re married, why do you feel as if your priorities are so different from your partner’s? The New Moon on March 6 can offer deep emotional insight.

Cancer, creative projects and pleasures enliven March for you. Whoever said romance was dead was dead-wrong! And it’s you who must make the effort to bring it back through small, practical acts of care. So schedule a balance of relaxing activities and creative endeavors (work included), and, if you have children, invite them into the mix.

Leo, your lifestyle choices are in the spotlight this month! Book your dental and doctor’s appointments, return to doing some home cooking (which you love), and add a Zen touch to your space. Once these things are accomplished, no doubt you’ll feel like inviting friends for dinner. The health issue that you’ve been having most likely has an emotional cause. Let go! A healthy body requires that you call your energy back.

Virgo, relationships are your focus right now and things may feel less than ideal. In fact, it’s your quest for the ideal that is affecting your relationship and/or business partnership. Try to shake up stale thought forms and embrace a non-conventional approach. Is it really “them” or is it all about how you perceive reality? Last month’s Full Moon brought you great insight; keep this with you throughout March! By mid-April, with some work on your part, you’ll be cementing a new way of relating to others.

Libra, you’re caught between two strong people or forces at present through your wish to please them both. Remember, all parties involved have the same interests at heart. There’s no need for serious concern as you’ll be able to bargain on your own terms. It seems your lot is to be heavily involved with other people’s money this month. Take note of the full moon in your sign on March 20 (9:42 pm in New York) when things you began on March 6 will come to fruition.

Scorpio, you have a passion for the mystical which seems to hum just below the surface of your being. This month sees you letting it have some breathing space. Read that esoteric book that’s next to your bed or listen to your favorite inspirational speaker. If you’re thinking about taking a course to broaden your skill set, or a scenic day trip to escape the confines of the house, now is a great time. The New Moon on March 6 requires that you make a plan for this day – otherwise it’s going to slip by in passivity. Creativity is easily available for you this March – all it needs is for you to begin.

Sagittarius, once again your career is in the spotlight. Work looks very healthy for you right now; the only caveat is that there may be almost too much work coming in! Your best attitude is to embrace this flow and put in the extra hours now. If you don’t have a job, and want one, now is the time to put your feelers out. And if you’re lucky enough not to have to work, this month will offer opportunities for you to stand up and be counted in your community. Avoid gossip and exaggeration as they’re prone to run wild this March.

Capricorn, it’s good to know that your friends are there when you need support. And you do need it because there’s a tremendous amount going on for you right now, especially if you’re born January 6 -13. While you’re by nature prone to despondency at times, there is absolutely no room for this in your life now. It’s the time to keep moving forward, even if it feels like you’re pushing through stone or metal at times, and all you want to do is stop climbing the mountain. The full moon on March 20 would be well spent taking the day off to rest. No-one need know!

Aquarius, this month sees you occupied with probing for the truth of hidden matters. So what’s new? Well, there’s the added twist that you may finally become aware of exactly where you are your own worst enemy – and be able to do something about it. Enough procrastination! You’re in a strong enough position now to get rid of your most destructive habit. With Venus in your sign this month, be open to receiving love and support from female friends.

Pisces, happy, happy birthday to you! Did you feel the energetic shift around February 19? Of course you did! While you’re sensitive and contemplative by nature, this month sees a real deepening of your soulful side. Focus on growing your inner world and avoid making major decisions as they’ll be bound to be revised after mid-April. Those who live close to you are used to your indecision and secrecy, so hopefully they’ll understand as you swim first in one direction and then the other. Enjoy the rays of Sun on your face and be thankful for where you find yourself now. The big decisions can wait a while.

“Try to realize it’s all within yourself, no one else can make you change, and to see you’re only very small and life flows on within you and without you.” –George Harrison, Pisces

ASTRO-PLANNER FOR MARCH 2019

March 2: Venus enters Aquarius where she’ll be until March 26 encouraging freedom of expression in our closest relationships.

March 6: Uranus enters the sign of Taurus where it will now remain until 2025. Life is about to become even more interesting over the next six years for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius, and for those who have their Moon or Ascendant in one of these fixed signs! Uranus is by nature a maverick, bringing sudden change and personal growth when it contacts a personal planet or point in your chart.

On a global note, with Uranus squaring Venus in Aquarius in the ingress chart, we are bound to see an intensification of the quest for equal pay and social liberation by marginalized groups. How will we meet these needs?

The oceans and waters of the world are also coming increasingly into the spotlight – will we step up to protect this resource which is the blood of our mother earth? Mercury is stationing retrograde in the ingress chart, asking for deliberation and reflection before we proceed with any major legislation. Saturn is approaching Pluto in Capricorn, symbolizing our wish to legislate and control the rampant technology and political upheaval that swept us off our feet during Uranus’s cycle through Aries.

About 7 hours after Uranus enters Taurus, we have a New Moon at 15 degrees of Pisces. The Sun and Moon are closely conjunct Neptune and square Jupiter, with Mercury (appearing to stand still) in Pisces also in the mix. This speaks of idealism and the outpouring of feeling, as well as a warning against exaggeration, murky tales getting out of hand, and too much alcohol. There is a call to pause, to stay clear-headed, and to align your intentions with your creative self. With the Moon also applying to a sextile with earthy Capricorn, dreams can begin to be made concrete

March 20, 5:58 pm EDT: The Vernal Equinox, marking the first day of spring in the northern hemisphere (and the first day of autumn in the southern hemisphere). Day and night are nearly equal so we have an opportunity to re-calibrate that which is out of balance in our lives. This is symbolically made manifest by the Sun rising due east and setting precisely due west, as well as the equal periods of dark and light. The equinox is further marked by the Sun entering Aries – Happy birthday, Aries! And it’s one of the rare years when there’s also a full moon on the day of the equinox. The full moon will be in gracious Libra (0 degrees) at 9:43 pm EDT so the balance we seek may well be in the sphere of our relationships. Things tend to come to the fore and be heard on a day like today so be certain of the message you wish to share with your loves ones and your community

March 28: Mercury stations direct. As the mental fog begins to clear, take your time. Wait until Mercury moves out of Pisces and into Aries on April 18 before charging ahead with your plans
