Ocean Song Astrology: January 2025

Greetings Dear Astrology Friends,

When the Sun travels through the land of Saturn during Capricorn season, it is time to go within and reflect on the passing of time. Were our days spent wisely and well during the past year? What efforts were made to steer our ship closer toward our destiny? Who takes the helm of our life as 2025 dawns bright before us?

The year ahead, like the ocean, is a realm of infinite possibilities. Take time this season to chart your course.

Mindful Living to begin the New Year

Planning for the year ahead need not be long and arduous!

  1. Take a large piece of paper and write ‘2025’ in the center with a circle around it.
  2. Sit quietly and ask your higher self to guide you through the year. Engage as a receiver. Embrace active listening for sincere Guidance.
  3. Then write down three things, each one spreading out from the centre of the year like a wave from the ocean, that will unfold in your life this year.

Some suggestions for the types of things you may wish to focus on:

  • An archetypal energy you wish to bring into your life.
For example: healer, shaman, mentor, child, lover, shapeshifter, poet, and so on.
  • A new place you wish to create in your living space or visit this year.
For example: a mini temple in the home, a private nest; climb the mountain nearest your house, visit the theatre, the beach or a sacred grove of trees…
  • A goal you wish to master or an achievement you are aiming for this year.
For example, completing a course, getting fit (be specific!), repairing a relationship with a family member or friend, getting a promotion, and so on.

Finally, write your own prayer or mantra for the year at the bottom of the page. Let it encapsulate the vibrational energy you wish to manifest in your life this year. For example, you might begin with:

  • Lead me toward…
  • Let my year be… And so it is.
  • May each day in 2025 vibrate with… And so it is.
  • I pledge each day this year to… And so it is.

January + 2025 in brief

This new year, 2025, begins a series of potent energies which will unfold fully in 2026.

Three slow-moving planets move into cardinal signs, entering the “Aries point zone”. While traveling through this zone, the energies of these planets will seek to come forward onto the world’s stage. This translates into major realignments for humanity, where old paradigms have a chance to give way to something new.

On March 30, 2025, Neptune will begin its slow entry into Aries, after being in Pisces since 2011.

Saturn will also enter into Aries at the end of May 2025 and connect with Neptune. While we will have the full taste of the Saturn-Neptune conjunction only in February 2026, we will begin to feel this great cycle moving through the world from March 2025.

Structures which are not based on Truth may dissolve. The Ocean (Neptune) eventually washes away the wall (Saturn), as we saw when the Berlin Wall collapsed in 1989 at the last Saturn-Neptune conjunction.

In June 2025, Jupiter moves into the sign of Cancer, and activates another Aries point on the world’s stage. It will connect with Saturn in June and begin a new economic cycle.

With so many cardinal signs being ignited, we will feel the call to action in our own lives too!

For January, let’s focus on:

  • Relating to others with sensitivity and flexibility while Venus travels through Pisces from the 4th until the end of the month
  • Nurturing and caring for others actively, not passively, as the Moon builds to full (at 24° Cancer) on the 13th
  • Being extra patient with ourselves and our habits as Mars retrogrades through Cancer from the 7th
  • Upping our power game as the Sun moves into Aquarius on January 20th! Reach for the stars!
  • Setting our intentions with regards to friendships and group endeavors at the New Moon (9° Aquarius) on January 29th.

Wishing you an adventurous and optimistic January, and a healthy and abundant 2025!

Thank you for your support in 2024! Happy birthday dearest Capricorn and Aquarius friends!

May the Sun shine upon you,
Catherine
